Down East Yachts Hull Identification Numbers

The Hull number (HIN) is stamped on the outside of the hull (normally Port side of the stern).

Your boat registration papers will also have the number.

The Manufacturers Identification Code (MIC) for Downeast Yachts Inc. of Santa Ana California which appears to have gone out of business in 1983!

Production or serial number of the vessel as determined by the manufacturer (i.e. number 218).

Month & year of production: 10=October; 79=1979.

Rig type ?????. (381 = DE38, Cutter Rig)
